El Segundo, CA – Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™, the nation’s fastest-growing commercial real estate firm, announces further growth with the appointment of Matt Fitzgerald as Executive Vice President & Market Leader for Emerging Markets. Fitzgerald will work closely with Chairman & CEO, Kyle Matthews and Executive Vice President & Managing Director, David Harrington, overseeing the growth and development of the firm’s new offices while working on expanding the footprint and reach of Matthews™ into new markets. Fitzgerald will also focus on enhancing the support of the firm’s management structure throughout the country as Matthews™ continues to grow and deliver its industry-leading platform support for agents.

Most recently, Fitzgerald worked as the Managing Director for a boutique commercial real estate brokerage company where he updated and trained agents on the firm’s 1031 Exchange Desk. Prior to this, Fitzgerald worked at a publicly-traded real estate brokerage company for over 24 years, starting as an assistant sales broker and moving his way up to Senior Vice President of Investments. As Senior Vice President, he prospected ownership of investment properties and executed marketing and sales campaigns for listed properties. While in management, Fitzgerald successfully grew the salesforce from 10 agents to over 90, while simultaneously opening new offices and creating greater financial efficiency in existing offices.
